My commentary: Is it me, or is this becoming a very pervasive issue within many of our national social and service organizations? These organizations are supposed to be out to better the community and instead the people leading them are becoming much like the Wall Street and government fat cats that we some vehemently ridicule.  So what’s the solution?  I believe that a better follow up and accountability for leadership is in order and a much tigher oversight of people who handle funds.  These are volunteer organizations who recieve funds from membership fees and donations from well meaning citizens who believe these organizations will put this money to work within the community.  If these beloved organizations and their national leaders don’t pull in the reigns on this tremendous mishandling of money that is becoming constantly the norm instead of the exception, then the trust of these organizations, who have always stood for justice and equality, will be lost.
