L30: Renaissance44: YouTube – ‘We Are the World’ Class of 2010.
This is definitely a Renaissance44 worthy piece of pop culture news. If you grew up in the 80’s, then you definitely remember the original “We Are The World” song and seeing your favorite and popular recording artists and actors coming together for a very worthy cause.
In this video from the Associated Press, courtesy of You Tube, listen to music pioneers
Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie reminisce on the remake of this inspirational classic, “We Are The World”. The new video and song also features an image of the late Michael Jackson, who was instrumental in the making of the original song. The cause 25 years ago, was US Aid For Africa. In 2010, the cause is for Haiti.
You can download the new song at iTunes or from the We Are The World website: www.world25.org and you can make a donation directly to the WATW Foundation by texting “WORLD” to 50555, for a $10 donation to Haiti, that will be placed on your cell phone bill. You can even download a widget of the new We Are The World video to post to your personal website or blog.
